5 Ways to Celebrate the Holidays in Las Vegas

With the holiday season approaching, Las Vegas is a must-visit destination. There is a lot to see and do. Here are ways to have a perfect holiday in Vegas

1. Area 15 Wanderland

Treat yourself to an approximately 30-feet tall intergalactic art sleigh decorated with twinkling holiday lights at Area 15's Wanderland. Enjoy the scenery created by an illuminated village lined with trees, extraterrestrial surprises, and festive paths leading to igloos. If you're in the mood to buy something, check out Kappa toys pop-up retailers, exhibits by local First Friday artists, the Wild Muse Boutique, Emack & Bolio’s sweets, and finally, a photo-op inside “Mister Fusion,” Henry Chang’s kinetic art car. The program runs from November 27th to January 5th.

2. The Nutcracker Extravaganza

Nutcracker Extravaganza, Behind the Scenes, runs from December 19th to January 3rd in the Discovery Children’s Museum. Families and individuals can enjoy their holidays with the limited-time magical Nutcracker displayed exhibit. Museum visitors get an exclusive chance to view the props, sets, and costumes of the original Nutcracker. The museum also displays over 20 costumes including tiaras, wigs, and handmade pieces worn by Nevada Ballet Theater's company.

3. Ethel M Chocolates Botanical Cactus Garden

Located at 2 Cactus Garden Drive, Ethel M Chocolates opens every night from November to January. During the holiday period, the three-acre garden is transformed into a wonderland illuminated by glowing lights. Apart from enjoying the magical scenery, visitors can take a self-guided tour of the chocolate factory, and enjoy chocolate treats, hot chocolate, and a snow glove selfie station.

4. Ron's Steakhouse and Sourdough Café

If you want to enjoy a festive meal on December 25th in Las Vegas, Ron's Steakhouse and the Sourdough Café got you covered. Located inside Arizona Charlie’s Decatur, Ron’s Steakhouse runs a special holiday offer from 3 pm to 9 pm for $44 per person. Sourdough Café's offer is priced at $18 per person.  

5. Ice Skating

The Boulevard Pool at the Cosmopolitan transforms into a wonderland every holiday season. It features an ice rink where visitors can skate across 4200 square feet of real ice and enjoy a complete view of the Las Vegas Strip. Skating is open daily through to January 6th.
