6 Nevada Casinos That Still Haven't Reopened

The pandemic shut down Nevada casinos. Many have since reopened, but some casinos are still closed, one year down the line. They include:

1. Eldorado Casino

The Eldorado Casino is yet to open, but there is hope that the establishment will soon reopen its doors as The Pass. It will also be under new management as DeSimone Gaming bought it towards the end of 2020. Many are looking forward to visiting the Casino.

2. Main Street Station

Unfortunately, Main Street Station has remained closed for a year now since it shut down in March last year due to the pandemic. However, David Strow, the spokesperson of the establishment, is enthusiastic about the future comeback. He says that the reopening dates are largely dependent on how the tourism sector recovers and the business volume.

3. Colorado Belle

There is no good news for patrons who previously frequented Colorado Belle Casino. The Casino in Laughlin was a famous spot that saw lots of activity, especially during the weekends. It is a property owned by Golden Entertainment, whose spokesperson confirmed that there are no plans to reopen the Casino soon. It is one of the few that will remain closed.

4. Lakeside Inn and Casino

This is one of the establishments that suffered a massive blow in light of the pandemic. The Lakeside Inn was a popular spot for the locals and is one of the oldest casinos in the area, having operated for 35 years as reported in the Tahoe Daily Tribune. It is a significant loss to the city as it was announced last year that the Casino would not reopen post-shutdown.

5. Cal-Nev-Ari Casino

The Cal-Nev-Ari occupies a vast space that houses the casino, a restaurant, and a post office. You will find it open during the weekdays between 8 am and 4 pm, but only because of the post office. All other facilities are yet to reopen after the shutdown last year. The owner, Nancy Kidwell, mentioned that volume is still low.  However, she's hopeful that with a few changes they can reopen in April.

6. Siegel Slots and Suites

The casino at Siegel Slots and Suites in Las Vegas remains closed with no news about plans to reopen the facility. Speculation has it that the property was old to Dotty's, but the management has not responded to calls to confirm the allegations.
