#5 WWE hopes John Cena versus Roman Reigns sells itself
According to insider @Wrestlevotes, "WWE thinks the John Cena versus Roman Reigns main event at Summerslam will sell itself, but others are apparently worried about the lackluster build-up to the marquee match. It is worth noting that John Cena was off television for a week, forcing the company to rely on Roman Reigns and Finn Balor, but maybe they will step up their storytelling in the final days before the pay-per-view. Furthermore, maybe they can even make it something worth watching.
In the end, Cena versus Reigns has a lot of box office appeal to it, but the company seems to be going hot and cold with the story. WWE needs something big to make fans want to watch SummerSlam after the go-home show.

#4 Kurt Busch tips hand about 2022 plans
Las Vegas native Kurt Busch's chances of competing in the NASCAR Cup Series in 2022 took a wild turn when Ross Chastain was announced as the second driver at Trackhouse Racing and it spurred questions about where Busch would go. Interestingly enough, a lot of speculation centers on Busch going to 23XI Racing, which is supposed to go to a two-team operation in 2022. Kurt Busch even tipped his hand during an interview with Racer.com with claims that everything was coming together
"Oh, things look very promising. I know where things sit. It’s just so close to being done and getting that announcement out there," Busch claimed in the interview with Racer.com when asked about his plans for the 2022 season. "We still have to wait just a little bit. There are a few puzzle pieces that will have to click in the right way, but I’m smiling about it and so is everybody else around me."

#3 Possible Becky Lynch return at SummerSlam
Becky Lynch hasn't been seen on WWE television since announcing her real-life pregnancy on Monday Night RAW late last year, but the rumor of her being in the building at SummerSlam has fans excited. PWInsider first reported the rumor, and if it's true, it could be one of the biggest selling points for fans to watch the upcoming pay-per-view. It at least could serve as an interesting injection into the women's division.
"That match (RAW Women's Title triple threat) being made for SummerSlam was a bit of a surprise. A lot of people were expecting Becky to be back, but word is she might be heading to a different brand. So, who knows, but they need her back bad," said Sean Ross Sapp.

#2 Josh Jacobs rips Derek Carr haters
It's no secret that Derek Carr is one of the most polarizing entities in the entire NFL, and while a lot of that has to do with his mixed results, some find the criticism to be unwarranted. In fact, in an interview, Raiders running back Josh Jacobs clapped back at Carr haters last week and showed nothing but praise for the veteran quarterback. If nothing else, this is at least a strong sign of unity within the offense and might even be the boost in confidence that Carr needs right now.
“I feel like he’s one of the most hated quarterbacks for no reason,” Jacobs said during a press conference. “I have no idea. If you ever meet the guy, he is one of the nicest guys that you will ever meet. He is a good dude, a good father. Like the white-collar guy that you look up to. It has definitely been huge for me to see his ups and downs going throughout his career and seeing how things have been going since his injury.”

#1 Liz Cambage returns to Las Vegas Aces pratice after battling with mental health
Liz Cambage shocked the sports world when she dropped out of the 2021 Toyko Olympics after admitting that she wasn't in a good place mental health-wise but has finally returned to practice after the Olympic break. The news comes only a month after Cambage got into a scuffle with an opposing player during an Olympic scrimmage, which might have played a role in her decision to sit out the games. Despite her mental health issues, she hopes to finish strong with the Las Vegas Aces this season and finally lead them to that elusive championship.
"Anyone that knows me knows one of my biggest dreams is winning an Olympic gold medal with the Opals. Every athlete competing in the Olympic Games should be at their mental and physical peak, and at the moment, I'm a long way from where I want and need to be," Cambage said in July.
