5 Las Vegas Raiders Who Crushed Fantasy Football This Week

These five Las Vegas Raiders racked up major fantasy football points in the first week of the NFL season

#5 Daniel Carlson

What a difference a kicker can make for the Las Vegas Raiders!  While being a kicker isn't the most glorious job in the NFL, they can sometimes come in handy when your team is in a tough situation. That is exactly what Daniel Carlsondid  Monday night after going two-for-two on field goals and tacking on three extra points after touchdowns. Carlson even nailed a 55-yard field goal to tie up the game before overtime, which sent Allegiant Stadium into an absolute frenzy. He ended up collecting 11 fantasy football points by the end of the Monday Night thriller.

#4 Bryan Edwards

It's no secret that Derek Carr was looking for new weapons heading into the 2021 season, and it seems like he finally found one in Bryan Edwards. The second-year wide receiver nabbed four catches during Monday night's game,  totaling 81 yards and an average of 20 yards per catch.  Fortunately for those who picked him up in fantasy drafts this year, he came away with 12 points at the end of the game.

With 20 yards per catch against one of the best defenses in the league, Edwards has a good chance of absolutely torching lesser teams as the season goes on. Now, the Pittsburgh Steelers might keep him limited in next week's game, but he has shown a lot of promise for the future. 12 points could just be the beginning!

#3 Kenyan Drake

The Las Vegas Raiders acquired Kenyan Drake over the offseason to give the organization a needed boost on offense, and that is exactly what the former Arizona Cardinal gave them. While Drake's running game left much to be desired during Monday night's game against the Baltimore Ravens, his ability to catch the ball was an x-factor for the team. In fact, Drake caught 5 balls for 59 yards and an average gain of 11.8. This might not have been the best performance by a player in fantasy football, but it was enough to grab 11.9 fantasy points by the end of the game.

#2 Joshua Jacobs

Las Vegas Raiders running back, Josh Jacobs came into Monday night's game against the Baltimore Ravens with a toe injury and it became obvious that he wasn't at 100% after being limited in practice most of the week. Despite these issues, Jacobs managed 34 yards on 10 carries and two touchdowns for the Raiders. He also caught a six-yard pass from Carr to help move the chains. Of course, some might see this as doing the bare minimum as a starting running back, but he still came away with 17 Fantasy football points.

Whether Jacobs can duplicate or improve on those numbers against the Steelers remains to be seen, but he seems to have a natural ability to punch it in when the team gets to the RedZone. On the other hand, his average gain of 3.9 yards per game leaves a lot to be desired, which is why it will be interesting to see how Jacobs does once he is 100%

#1 Derek Carr

There were a lot of questions surrounding Derek Carr heading into the 2021 season. He had a lot to prove if he was going to keep his starting role with the organization. Fortunately for Carr, he managed to go 34 of 56 for 435 yards, with two touchdowns, and one interception in the Raiders' victory over the Ravens.  He also threw a beautiful spiral in overtime to connect with Zay Jones for the victory. Carr ended up with 19.48 playoff points after the game, making him a pretty reliable starter for those that initially doubted his consistency.
