Get ready, North Las Vegas — another round of ice-cold happiness is on the way. Handel’s Ice Cream, the beloved brand serving up handmade scoops since 1945, is opening a brand-new shop at 6180 North Decatur Boulevard this month.
The grand opening celebration kicks off Thursday, November 20 at 11 a.m., complete with family-friendly fun, including a spin wheel with prizes (11 a.m.–5 p.m.) and a balloon twister (11 a.m.–1 p.m.).
This marks the second Las Vegas location for local franchisee Mandy Trotter and her family, who already run a successful Handel’s at Charleston and Fort Apache. The Trotters are known for giving back — from free ice cream days at local schools to monthly charity donations and library fundraisers — and they’re bringing that same community-first spirit to North Las Vegas.
“Our family is excited to serve the North Las Vegas community,” said Trotter. “We love giving back and can’t wait to make this store a local hub.”
The new shop spans 2,300+ square feet, offering pickup, delivery, and catering via DoorDash, Uber Eats, and Postmates. Expect 48 rotating flavors every day — from Strawberry Cheesecake and Graham Central Station to Black Raspberry Chunk and Salty Caramel Truffle — all made fresh in small batches.
