Taken by Lauren Hyde The Writer s Block in Downtown Las Vegas is a bookstore and coffee shop all in one. Grab a cup of coffee before browsing around or after finding the perfect book that you can t wait to dive into. It s cozy and eclectic with bookshelves lining the walls, artificial birds everywhere, and knick-knacks like buttons, notebooks, model cars, and animal skeletons (fake ones, of course) on display.

Taken by Lauren Hyde Soft jazz music and bird sounds play overhead while you shop around, making you feel like there s no need to rush. Take your time browsing each section, which includes: Travel, Cooking, True Crime, Poetry, Fashion, and more. Say hi to the store s residential bunny, The Baron, that lives in the Young Adult section. You ll have to do a couple of laps to soak in all of the visual elements (hint: there s artwork on the ceiling).
