Las Vegas Raiders Quarterback Derek Carr continues to be one of the most underappreciated quarterbacks in the NFL, but he finally got the respect he deserves this week when the QB index was released. Not only did Carr crack the top ten for the second time in his career, but he is also now ranked among the likes of Tom Brady, Aaron  Rodgers, and Patrick Mahomes, a who’s who of quarterbacks in the NFL.

While Derek Carr had an up and down season in 2021, he did help his team to a spot in the playoffs, where they lost to the Super Bowl-bound Cincinnati Bengals. Carr kept the game competitive but was unable to connect on key throws that would have sent the team to the second round. Still, Carr has a lot going for him right now, and it could lead to a pretty impressive season in 2022.
