While the Las Vegas Aces were knocked out of the playoffs by the Phoenix Mercury on Friday night, it was their performance two nights before that had everyone talking. In fact, Kelsey Plum, Chelsea Gray, and A'ja Wilson all put up 20 points in the wildest comeback of the year. It all started in the third quarter when the Mercury nailed an easy basket but were then held to a 21-0 run by the Aces, who ended up winning that game by only six points.

Unfortunately, they couldn't maintain the momentum. It's sad to see a super team like the Aces out so early in the playoffs, especially after all the team's changes during the offseason, but maybe the team just didn't have enough time to gel, or maybe they are still working out who fits what role. Either way, the Aces will have to wait another year to pursue a WNBA Championship.
