Former Las Vegas Golden Knights goalie Marc-Andre Fleury being traded to the Chicago Blackhawks was a huge blow to Las Vegas Golden Knights fans.
Of course, everyone knew the move was coming, especially after Robin Lehner signed a new deal worth $25 million across the next five years, but that didn't make the loss any easier.
What really rubbed people the wrong way was that Fleury was the team's anchor and wanted to stay until retirement. He went all-in on the organization, earning the Vezina trophy in the process,
"I was there from the start and trying to help the team get going," Fleury told NHL insider Frank Seravalli. "I thought I was going to retire there... The owner said it in the media last season, too. I know I don't have many years left [to play], so I thought I could end up there, living there after hockey."
