McGregor won his first undisputed UFC title with a knockout triumph over the incomparable José Aldo at the MGM Grand Garden on December 12, 2015. 

It only took him 13 seconds.

I was there. 

I remember watching Tyson bite Hollyfield’s ear on Pay-per-view when I was a kid. My dad and my uncles were so disappointed at having spent $50 for the fight.

Watching McGregor knockout Aldo with a lightning-quick hook was glorious. I didn’t care that I’d spend thousands of dollars on travel, lodging, and tickets to be there. The energy that night was infectious. Totally worth it.
