Damon Arnette was released by the Las Vegas Raiders this week after a social media post surfaced of him brandishing a weapon and threatening to shoot a person during a disagreement. The news comes only a week after the tragic events that took the life of Tina Tintor and left Henry Ruggs charged with DUI murder. Ruggs and Arnette were both early 2020 draft picks chosen by the Raiders who are now without a job after only a year and a half.

Keep in mind this is only one week after Arnette was named in a lawsuit that alleges he was speeding and hit another vehicle on his way to team practice. Arnette didn't stop to check on the crash victim and continued to make his way to the Raiders facility. He was later questioned about the incident, telling police that he wasn't the one behind the wheel. He then admitted that he was the one behind the wheel and just didn't want to be late for a meeting at the facility.

"We spent significant time, assets, and resources trying to help him in all facets of his life," Mayock said. "There have been a series of bad decisions over the last year or so, but we can't stand for the video of Damon with a gun threatening to take a life."
