Connect with fans online before the game
Fans crave interaction during the game. That's where social media comes in! Save your team's hashtag so you can connect with people during the game. Whether it's celebrating a goal, posting a selfie to show off your new jersey, or complaining about whatever crap call the official made, you should post about it! Yeah, it might not be as fun as hugging the person next to you, but this way, you can interact while maintaining social distance.
Bring your own sanitizer
Pack extra masks and small hand sanitizers. Of course, each facility will probably have its own sanitation stations, but you may as well be prepared.
The choose rule
What's the choose rule? In reality, it's a procedure NASCAR does to determine the starting order on restarts during races. However, in this scenario, the choose rule is deciding whether to leave the game early or stay late as the crowd shuffles out. Believe it or not, both plans have their advantages and make for some unique experiences. For example, let's say you decide to stay the whole game and see your team score to win the game with only seconds on the clock.
While you'll have to wait out the crowd as they file out of the stadium, you might get a chance to see some post-game action as well. Broadcasters will be doing all kinds of interviews, analysis and you might even be able to get in the postgame shots if you're lucky enough. You also get a chance to see all the little interactions between players, teammates, and coaches, which can get pretty interesting under the right conditions as well. It's all a matter of luck to catch something good, but it allows you to soak in the experience as a whole
Then again, if the game is already a blowout, or you simply want to beat traffic, start heading to the exit before the final buzzer sounds. That way, you and your family limit your exposure to others in the lobby and gives you a chance to get some last-second souvenirs as well. Yeah, you don't see the end of the game, but you beat the crowd.
