Just past the Hoover Dam is a beautiful hiking trail that leads to the Colorado Riverfront. From the parking lot, walk down to the right to get to the trailhead. You’ll walk under the highway and then keep straight on for about half a mile. This will be the most tedious and unscenic part of the trail, but don’t worry- it gets much better!

Make sure to look for and read signs carefully as there are several trails in this area. Once you reach the sign for The Liberty Bell Arch trail, head straight into the canyon to start your adventure. You might even see some wildlife, like lizards and jackrabbits, along the way!

It’s a two and a half-mile trek through a canyon, which provides many shaded areas, to reach the view. The terrain is fairly flat but quite rough, with gravel and large rocks, so make sure to wear comfortable hiking shoes!

Once you reach the end of the trail, the canyon walls open up to a view of the beautiful clear blue-green water of the Colorado River. You can climb up the surrounding rocks even further if you want to overlook the water from the Liberty Bell Arch.

Come prepared with plenty of water and some snacks, since you’ll probably want to rest while enjoying the view at the end and refuel for the uphill walk back.
