MILLENIUM was the album that propelled Backstreet Boys into superstardom and secured their place in music history. Twenty-five years later, they’re celebrating that recording with a special edition re-release entitled MILLENIUM 2.0 (available here) and a new residency at SPHERE.

VEGAS 411 attended the debut weekend of Backstreet Boys' seven-week SPHERE residency on July 12. The show opened the previous evening and is already being hailed as a major success...critically, financially, and by devoted fans.

The epic concert experience is dedicated to the 25th anniversary of MILLENIUM. Every track on the album is performed, along with chart-toppers from other releases. The guys also introduce "HEY", a new single from MILLENIUM's remastered-expanded 2025 edition.

In the months leading to opening night, BSB asked fans to wear all-white outfits to their performances. The message was received, as thousands poured into the Venetian's super-venue, resembling a sea of snowmen.

Stunning visuals punctuated by countdown clocks kept the crowd entertained. The roar when the band finally appeared was absolutely deafening, and didn't let up throughout a tight 85-minute runtime. Spaceships and dazzling futuristic visuals filled the SPHERE dome's interior screen. It was often difficult to discern where the physical space ended and projections began. Attendees were swept into snow-capped peaks, constellations, ocean waves, TRON-like grids, a cathedral, and eye-popping fields of flowers.
