Crypts, Conflicts, 80s Classics, and Motown Mornings - PhotoDump RoundUp W/E 10/18/25

Live performances make the most of this week's adventures. Come along for the fun...

MOTOWN BRUNCH at Alexis Park Resort

As we reported a few weeks ago, the popular Motown Brunch has relocated from Ahern Boutique Hotel to Alexis Park Resort. Its new home is Alexis Gardens Restaurant, a bright and cozy poolside space just off the hotel lobby. VEGAS 411 was invited to attend, with an understanding that this was a soft opening.

We were requested to keep photos of the performance to a minimum, as the stage was still being perfected. But we snapped a few shots anyway (don't tattletale) for an idea of what to expect down the road. MOTOWN BRUNCH performs Sundays at noon. Doors open at 11 am for the brunch buffet. Tickets are only $58.95 inclusive. Get yours here.

Mark O'Toole Expands As Dennis Bono "Bans"

With only four more shows left on his Sun City Anthem contract, outrageous Mark O'Toole is upping the ante on his variety show's guest list. A massive group of entertainers caused last week's edition to run overtime, but the near-capacity crowd seemed to love every minute. Here's hoping Mark and company get renewed for another year.

On the opposite end of the spectrum, Dennis Bono's show at South Point Showroom has been rumbling with controversy. The right-leaning good-ol' boy is reportedly banning performers who dare to exercise their free-speech rights. Let's see who prevails in this battle of politics vs. ethics. I, for one, won't be attending or covering The Dennis Bono Show going forward.

TALES FROM THE TIKI CRYPT at Chinatown's Golden Tiki

Leave it to spooky John Shaw to combine the camp silliness of Golden Tiki Lounge with his knowledge of the occult. Mix in some clever cocktails and the vocal stylings of Cova Vette (Lost Spirits Distillery) and you have TALES FROM THE TIKI CRYPT.

It's a tongue-in-cheek, head-in-a-jar night of chilling stories, saucy songs, and mystical illusions. TALES FROM THE TIKI CRYPT takes place in The Captain's Quarters, a secretive parlour at The Golden Tiki filled with spooky decor, shrunken heads, and eerie lighting. Enjoy four custom cocktails as Shaw and Vette lead you back in time.

TALES FROM THE TIKI CRYPT plays Wednesdays at 8 pm through the end of October, but don't be surprised if it receives an extension. Tickets are $80, and you can purchase yours here. Golden Tiki is located at 3939 Spring Mountain Road. Parking is free.

John Shaw will also return with the cast of LATE NIGHT MAGIC next month. Their new home is The Magicians Room on Linq Promenade. We'll cover that in an upcoming feature.

BACK TO THE '80s with David Perrico's POP STRINGS ORCHESTRA

Nobody does it better than the musicians and vocalists working under David Perrico Music. They blanket the city with music from multiple eras and genres, all delivered with the utmost of style and perfection. Last Friday, Perrico's POP STRINGS ORCHESTRA filled Myron's at the Smith Center with the great sounds of the eighties. It was irreverent, magnificent, and oh, so satisfying.

You can enjoy David Perrico Music all football-season long as the Las Vegas Raiders House Band. Their next ticketed performance will be the annual Christmas show at Myron's on December 12th (we've been told that it's already sold out). Keep up to date on the band's full schedule by heading here.
