David Perrico POP SYMPHONIC Rocks the Smith Center

Mega-concert rips the roof from Reynolds Hall and reminds us what greatness truly means...

A David Perrico POP SYMPHONIC concert at the Smith Center is like Christmas morning. You can't wait for it to arrive, enjoy it immensely, and then wring your hands until tickets go on sale for the next edition. A monumental spectacle of rock anthems, pop hits, Broadway greats, original compositions, soaring vocals, world-class musicians, and the Las Vegas Raiderettes, POP SYMPHONIC soars like nothing else in the city. If you aren't familiar with David Perrico Music, then you aren't visiting VEGAS 411 nearly enough (catch up here). David's Vegas-based musical empire is not only prolific but sets a standard that few can match. From Allegiant Stadium to Reynolds Hall, Orlando's Grande Lakes to your vinyl turntable, Perrico's music isn't just for listening...it's meant to be felt. There are nearly a dozen Perrico bands in various formations and styles. They play everything from rooftop bars to massive concert halls, corporate gigs to the Nevada Ballet's annual ball. Gifted singers Serena Henry, Fletch Walcott, Lily Arce, Toscha Comeaux, Jaclyn McSpadden, Rockie Brown, and others provide the vocals. Noteworthy instrumentalists, such as Fernando Tort (The Bronx Wanderers), guitarist Steven Lee, and Crystal Yuan (BAZ), offer world-class musicianship. The latest POP SYMPHONIC show was held at the Smith Center's Reynolds Hall on August 2nd. It opened with a loving tribute to the late Chuck Mangione, then moved into rock, pop, dance, and Perrico's originals. Lily Arce flew high with music from WICKED, Rockie Brown rocked hard with Guns N' Roses, and several numbers featured the sultry Las Vegas Raiderettes. VEGAS 411 was there to capture these clips and photos during the epic event. As a former resident of Youngstown, I recognize hometown influences in Perrico's ambition and style. David composed this loving tribute in the city's honor: [embed]https://youtu.be/I0FQbUYFvvg?si=HCEdAl4BnOeSveGo[/embed] He may be an Ohio native, but David Perrico's a "hometown boy" to the residents of Las Vegas. His face, music, and performers are recognized nationwide thanks to the Raiders House Band. David's recordings are popular on streaming services, and this year, he released a two-album set of original music on vinyl! Click here to get your copy. With football season now upon us, we'll be hearing a lot more David Perrico music. As an early Christmas gift to yourself, tickets for his next show at the Smith Center are already on sale. Be at Myron's on October 17th at 7 pm for "Hits of the 80s". Seats start at $40.30 and can be reserved here.
