'ECLECTIC' - A Collection of Musical Moods from Jonathan Karrant

Vegas-based vocalist envelops fans in style, substance, and smooth sounds with his latest album...

The qualities of certain vocalists can send you to a different time, place, or mood with just one song. That dreamlike experience is often shared by the artists themselves. Jonathan Karrant is one such performer. You can see it in his eyes. Jonathan's live shows become a musical flight. The handsome "song stylist" is your pilot, martini in hand, and ready to lift you off on a silky-smooth ride. This month, Karrant released his latest album entitled ECLECTIC. He describes the collection this way:

"I’m SO excited to finally share these new recordings with you! Find it and listen wherever you get your music. The album is an eclectic collection of songs from different eras and genres all cleverly re-created with unique musical arrangements."

ECLECTIC was released on September 8th and has risen to #3 on the iTunes jazz charts. Karrant assembled a stellar team to record the collection, including Mayfair Supper Club's own Patrick Hogan on piano, with musical arrangements by Hogan, Danny Green, and Karrant (who also produced).

Prior to ECLECTIC's official release, Jonathan teamed up with Jane Monheit for LOVE DANCE, the album's first single. It's a duet featuring renowned saxophonist Houston Person.

"Jane Monheit is a beautiful songbird with such a unique style. I couldn’t imagine recording this duet with anyone else. Jane, your divine, sensuality and silky, smooth tone make this track so special.

Houston Person has a brilliant way of caressing a song and a singer, dancing around them with phrasing notes. When it comes to saxophone players, Houston, you are the king of romance."

Now that ECLECTIC is available to order and enjoy on streaming services, he's performing a series of shows that serve as an album-release tour. The first takes place on September 15th in Palm Springs.

Vegas-based fans won't have to wait much longer, as Myron's Cabaret at Smith Center for the Performing Arts will host Jonathan Karrant: ECLECTIC - Album Release Show on September 27th.
