It may be the week of Valentine's Day, but some of us are too cynical to get caught up in the hoopla. Instead, we suggest you treat yourself to a nice dinner and a show, with or without a significant other. Here are a few new additions to our ever-growing ONE NIGHT STANDS lineup.
March 12th at the Italian American Club, handsome hunk Ryan Baker takes the night off from FRANKLY FRANK to perform his own musical showcase. BIG BAND CROONERS: A Salute to Living Legends will feature Baker and a big band saluting crooners who are still performing. Expect hits from Michael Bublé, Harry Connick, Jr., and, for Baker's first time, Paul Anka.
"I can't wait to get all these incredible musicians together again, to let it rip with these massive tunes, and all 18 of us are looking forward to celebrating at the IAC with you!" - Ryan Baker
Tickets are $70.00, which includes the show and Italian American Club's famous buffet. Doors open at 6:30 pm, dinner begins at 7, and showtime is 8 pm. To make reservations, click this link: https://bit.ly/BBC-031225-LL-FB. You can also call the IAC at (702) 457-3866.

Producer Sal Cucco is on a roll. Fresh off the triumphant debut of LAS VEGAS BELLAS at the Italian America Club a few weeks ago, Cucco and Rhino Media Entertainment have announced a trio of crowd-pleasing shows.
American Idol finalist Lou Gazzara heads to Freedom Hall Theater at Sun City Anthem on February 21st at 7 pm. Known for his powerful renditions of songs ranging from Frankie Valli to Andrea Bocelli, Gazzara's setlist will include new songs and standards. Tickets cost $40 ($35 for Sun City residents). Get yours by phoning 702-614-5822 or 702-614-5860.
LAS VEGAS BELLAS (left) will make their second appearance on March 14th, also at Freedom Hall. Showtime is 7 pm and tickets (same prices as the Gazzara show) can be ordered via the phone numbers as shown above.
THE FOURMERS return to South Point Showro0m during the final weekend of March. A super-group of talent from Jersey Boys productions, this iteration will feature Jeff Leibow, Tony Lawrence Clements, Douglas Crawford, and Deven May. For tickets and showtimes, follow this link to the South Point ticketing page.

While you're at the South Point Casino website, be sure to pick up tickets for TURN THE BEAT: A Gloria Estefan Tribute. The show, whose debut VEGAS 411 attended last month, is a stunning affair packed with talent. Gabie Lopez created the production, which features spectacular vocalists and a live band. Tickets are only $25. The show performs on March 1st at 7:30 pm.

If you prefer comedy over musical productions, get ready for Rosebud Baker. The SNL writer and stand-up comedian, whose Netflix special The Mother Lode debuts on February 18th, will arrive in Las Vegas three nights later.
"The Mother Lode" was shot while Rosebud was pregnant and then after giving birth. She hilariously unpacks navigating parenthood, the indignities of childbirth, the pros and cons of losing your identity in motherhood, and more.
Rosebud Baker will appear at Wiseguys Comedy Club at Town Square on February 21st and 22nd. Showtimes are 7 pm and 9:30 pm on both evenings. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased here. Wiseguys Town Square is located at 6605 S. Las Vegas Boulevard. Parking is free.
Sultry rocker Lucie May (left) is known for her audacity, wit, wild outfits, and take-no-prisoners shows. Her latest single DEAD TO ME is raw with emotion. You can find it on major streaming platforms by heading here.
May's band LUCIEFR packs the city's best dive bars with hard rock and punk. They blew apart The Space last year with 7 DEADLY SINS, a shocking feast of high-end vocals and visuals.
Lucie's back on March 22nd with her latest appearance, described as "ruthless, relentless rock 'n roll". Showtime is at 8 pm at Gold Mine Tavern in Henderson.
Absence undoubtedly makes the heart grow stronger. Just ask CHER, whose retirement tour began twenty-two years ago. Sin City has a new "Just Can't Say Goodbye" hero in the form of Michael Shapiro. The RECKLESS IN VEGAS creator/frontman just posted this:
HEY Las Vegas and beyond! We of ReCkLeSs iN VEgAs spent a couple of hours playing tonight and I've decided I still like Jack E. Roth and Chris Nichols. So, with that, YES we will be performing our "Unplugged" Modern Twist On Vintage Vegas show again at Vic's Las Vegas on Sat Mar 29th. This is a VERY intimate, beautiful venue with a classic Vegas vibe and really REALLY yummy food. Chef Miguel has prepared a wonderful menu with 5 options. $65 includes dinner and show! 7 PM
For reservations call 725-755-5299 or book online at: https://www.vicslasvegas.com/ event/the-michael-shapiro- show-3292025/ Seats are VERY limited so don't wait, reserve NOW!
One band you won't be seeing in Las Vegas anytime soon is PHAT CAT SWINGER. For some inexplicable reason, this Hollywood-based large-scale band has yet to make a proper Sin City debut. That seems really odd, as groups of this genre are a smash not only in Las Vegas, but in cities across the nation.

Artist Manager Michael Licata describes PHAT CAT SWINGER as "a unique blend of rock, swing, and jazz infused with modern sensibilities that sets them apart. With a powerhouse 11-piece group, their performances are nothing short of legendary. The raw energy they bring to the stage electrifies the audience, getting the crowd dancing like there's no tomorrow. It’s Sinatra/Buble meets Bruno Mars meets Big Bad Voodoo Daddy/Brian Setzer."
If that doesn't sway any of the city's entertainment directors to book PHAT CAT SWINGER, maybe this clip will.
