After the cool swagger and tuxedos of the Rat Pack era, male singers took a different approach to sensuality. The seventies became the decade of unbuttoned shirts and gyrating hips, with Tom Jones and Elvis Presley leading the charge. Ladies responded in kind, and heartthrobs were often showered with room keys, panties, and bras. By the 2010s, men had ditched their shirts completely. Vegas-born bands like IMAGINE DRAGONS and PANIC! AT THE DISCO were fronted by barechested hunks Dan Reynolds and Brendon Urie, respectively. Raw, shredded, and smooth as a baby's bottom, these powerful vocalists brought as much attention to their pecs and abs as the hits that topped charts around the globe.

Texan singer Chase Brown mixes the over-the-top glam of David Bowie with the Earth-bound vocals of Garth Brooks. The result is its own entity, a gift to country music fans delivered in eyebrow-raising style. Performing under the name "Vegas McGraw", muscleman Adam D. Tucker channels the style of Tim McGraw and other country superstars. This writer first met Adam when he was in the cast of VEGAS GONE COUNTRY, a tribute show at Planet Hollywood's V THEATER. The newest "kid" on the block is the biggest in many ways. Jeff Smith, who co-fronts eighties band CARELESS WHISPER, is an absolute giant of a man. A towering hunk sporting massive arms, bulging pecs, and a voice to match, this bodybuilder/teacher/singer positively dwarfs his glamorous vocal partner McKenna Lee.
