REAL VEGAS PEOPLE - Fernando Miro: From Island Boy to Cowboy
Spiegelworld's ATOMIC SALOON SHOW burst on the scene in 2019 and was an immediate hit. Like sister productions ABSINTHE and OPIUM, it combines an oddball premise with bizarre characters, naughty humor, and stunning acrobatics. The citizens of Venetian's resident production are instantly likable, drawing you into the type of 360-degree experience that can only happen in Sin City.
One of SALOON's unique residents is "The Outlaw", a wordless stud who saunters through the swinging doors, strips off his shirt and chaps, seduces everyone in sight, then takes to the air for a jaw-dropping series of feats.
The latest entertainer to portray "The Outlaw" is Fernando Miro. A veteran of athletically-driven productions, the thirty-four-year-old Puerto Rican came to Vegas in 2008 to perform with Cirque du Soleil. After two years he headed to Los Angeles and then Spain before returning here in 2018 for another stint with Cirque.

In the intervening years, Miro toured with superstars Taylor Swift and Katy Perry (above). They benefitted from his broad range of skills which include dance, aerial work, hand balancing, and pole dancing. There was even time to appear in a few film and television shows.
As a student of cinematography, Fernando's passion for film-making reached a peak during the pandemic. He utilized the shutdown as an opportunity to create a short film entitled "OUTLET. It ended up winning the First Choice/Audience Choice awards at the Circus International Film Festival this year.

"What once was just a cool idea and an ongoing thought of making some art with a message turned into a passion project that has touched many, especially in pandemic times and the world we currently live in.""When the pandemic hit and all the artists in the world were forced to find new ways to make money, the arts were the things that kept us alive. This is an homage to the struggle of every single artist feeling like they are stuck inside of a cage but have found their creative light in some sort of way.”
Growing up on an island, the handsome hunk was quite at home in the water. Now he lives in the desert and works in the air. Despite such massive changes to his lifestyle, Miro has settled in nicely with a very romantic partner and their Siberian husky "Aquiles". He continues to pursue his interests in photography, learning all he can possibly absorb while maintaining the type of physique that makes even the nuns at the Atomic Saloon swoon.
In Part Two, we'll hunker down with the naughty cowboy for a game of "Ten Questions", where we'll discover his hangouts, vices, philosophies, secrets, and bucket list.
